Read the Room
You think you know them.
One question. A room full of opinions. Predict how many of your friends will say yes, then discover how well you really know your people.
How to play
This is what game night sounds like
The stories start after the vote.
Some answers are exactly what you expected. Others need a full explanation. The points are fun; the conversations after the vote are even better.
Get the gang into it.
Here’s how Read the Room works.
Hear the question
The named reader takes the phone and reads one question to the whole group. Everyone predicts the answer to that same question.
Make your private prediction
Pass the phone so each player can secretly lock in how many people will vote yes. Count everyone, including yourself. Keep your prediction to yourself until the vote.
See who knows the room
The reader leads the countdown. Everyone shows thumbs up for yes or thumbs down for no. Count the yes votes, enter and check the total, then reveal the predictions.
Who wins?
Every player with the closest prediction earns 1 point, including ties. A match has one question per player, with the reader changing each round. The highest score wins; you can keep the scores and play more rounds.
Picture your next round
You had to be there.
Now you can be.
A good place to start with a new group, and a surprisingly revealing one with old friends.
Ask the room
Would you take a holiday without booking accommodation first?
Six friends. You predict four yes votes.
Five thumbs go up. If nobody guessed closer, you earn a point. Now ask who’s actually done it.
