Word Impostor
Someone’s winging it.
Everyone knows the secret word. Almost everyone. Give just enough away to prove you belong, then find the friend who’s making it all up.

The room has trust issues.
That suspiciously vague clue. The overconfident accusation. Your quietest friend getting away with everything. A little suspicion makes a very good night.
Get the gang into it.
Here’s how Word Impostor works.
Keep your secret
Pass the phone around. Each player privately reveals their card, then hides it before passing. One randomly chosen impostor doesn’t get the secret word.
Clue in. Blend in.
Take two trips around the group, giving one spoken clue each time without saying the word. If you’re the impostor, listen closely and make your clue sound convincing.
Make your accusation
Discuss the clues, then everyone points to someone else on the countdown. Enter and check the votes. If you catch the impostor, they get 15 seconds to say the secret word and steal the win.
Who wins?
The civilians earn a point if they catch the impostor and the final word guess is wrong. The impostor earns a point by escaping the vote or guessing the word correctly. Tied votes go to one runoff; another tie lets the impostor escape. Roles are shuffled for the next round.
Picture your next round
You had to be there.
Now you can be.
Keep your clues useful, but a little mysterious. Too obvious and you might hand the impostor the answer.
